Arizona Dragons Olympic Taekwondo Training Center is

owned and operated by Master Miguel Paredes, head coach

of Team Dragons.

Since 2011, Arizona Dragons has been dedicated to changing the lives of people one person at a time, through martial arts, education and coaching. We strive to provide a safe, comfortable and welcoming atmosphere for all students and family members. We take pride in creating an environment for individuals to achieve, develop and succeed in their personal goals.

We strongly believe that martial arts can be for everyone, regardless of age, gender or experience levels. Throughout all of our programs, students will not only learn the necessary skill sets to protect themselves, we stand behind our realistic and practical approach, confident it will enable every member to achieve greatness and live their best life.

About Coach Miguel Paredes: 

Arizona was Coach Miguel Paredes began his martial arts career at the age of 16 after moving to the United States from the Dominican Republic. He obtained his first and second degree black belt in Sipal-Ki-Do under Master Jose Luis Cademartori (4th Dan in Sipal-Ki-Do, black belt in Sport Jiu-Jitsu and Brizilian Vale Tudo).

Coach Miguel Paredes holds his first, second (Kukkiwon) and third degree black belt in Taekwondo (WTF) under Seventh degree black belt and World Martial Arts Hall of Famer Grand Master Gregory V. Glover .

Coach Miguel Paredes received his 4th degree black belt in Taekwondo (WTF) from Grand Master William C. Ergle and Master David Lehmkuhl in 2011. Coach Miguel Paredes finally received his 5th degree black belt in Taekwondo from the World Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation in 2020. 

Additionally Coach Miguel Paredes is:

A certified North American Sipal-Ki-Do instructor

A former student of Marcelo Mello, Brazillian Jiu-Jitsu black belt under Rayler Gracie

A former John Jay College Taekwondo Team captain and competitor

A former Team X-CEL member and assistant coach to Master Fredrick Ryon

A state, national Olympic Teakwondo competitor

A certified USAT and AAU coach

CPR and First AID Certified

USAT Level I Coach

AAU Certified Referee


Coach Miguel Paredes has dedicated more than  25 years to teaching Silpaki-DO, Olympic Taekwondo and Self Defense throughout New York, Florida and Arizona.

As an instructor and coach, Coach Miguel Paredes is committed to providing quality martial arts instruction to every student and athlete, but more importantly teaching self respect, respect to others, and providing a family oriented program. Coach Miguel Paredes and all the Arizona Dragons Olympic Taekwondo Training Center Instructors and staff are committed to providing an elite Olympic Taekwondo training and Martial Arts experience. Arizona Dragons emphasizes discipline and respect throughout every class and competition.

Master Instructor

Master Martin Valenzuela holds his 1st,

2nd, 3er, and 4th, and  Degree Black Belt

under Grand Master Jong Kil Kang

(9th Degree Black Belt and President of

the World Brother Taekwondo).

Master Martin Valenzuela holds his

5th Degree Black Belt under the World

Taekwondo Jidokwan Federation.

Martin Valenzuela has been with

Arizona Dragons since the beginning,

teaching and helping students reach

their highest levels.

Coach Sam is a 3er Dan in Kukkiwon. 

Coach Sam is an AAU Certified Coach and Member of Team Dragons.

Coach Sam  has participated in many tournaments throughout Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Florida and in State Qualifiers, and AAU Nationals.

Coach Sam now is dedicating his time to teach our students everything he has learned. 

Alexander Moxley

Senior Instructor

Alex started his Taekwondo journey in

Arizona Dragons several years ago. He has

received his 1st and 2nd and 3er degree Black

Belt under Coach Miguel and Kukkiwon. 

Alex Member of Team Dragons. 

Alex has participated in many tournaments throughout Arizona, California, Nevada, New Mexico, and State Qualifiers.

Christopher now is dedicating his time to

teach our students everything he has learned

from his father and other coaches while Alex

is also attending the Arizona State University.
